In the movie Elf, Buddy, a human boy, is raised amongst elves at the North Pole. He learns that he is not an elf when he discovers that his father is in New York City. After this discovery, Buddy travels to New York to search for his biological father. Simply say "Hello, my name is (your name) the Elf. What is your favorite color?" then answer "Mine is green!" Then have a conversation with that person about their favorite color or Christmas traditions. You can also encourage them to spread cheer by asking them to call someone else with the same question and have a conversation with them.

Answer the Telephone Like Buddy the Elf Day is celebrated on December 18th.
