Bisexuals are proud of who they are, but they are often misunderstood. Many people are not familiar with bisexuality. To help raise awareness, the bisexual community has declared September 23rd to be Celebrate Bisexuality Day. This day is an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about this sexual orientation and how it is the same as being heterosexual or homosexual. A day to counter prejudice against bisexuals. Across the country, organizations will hold events in communities designed to dispel myths and increase awareness. There are several ways to celebrate this day. It encourages education and understanding and calls to both supporters and those who are still developing an understanding. One way to celebrate is to attend a poetry reading or a seminar. Through these venues, a better understanding can be gained. Another way to celebrate is to share in the love and support of both the relationships and the general festival.
