What is Daylight Saving Time Ends?
The majority of Americans spring forward (turning the clocks ahead and losing an hour) on the second Sunday in March at 2:00 A.M. They fall back (turning the clocks back and gaining an hour) on the first Sunday in November at 2:00 A.M. The reason for daylight saving time was original to save energy. It was first instituted in the U.S. during World War I and then again during WW II as a part of the war effort. The US Department of Transportation (DOT) recommended that states adopt year-round daylight saving time called “Year-Round DST

Daylight Saving Time ends on the first Sunday in November at 2:00 AM.
History of Daylight Saving Time Ends
In 1895, the entomologist George Hudson came up with the modern concept of daylight saving time. He proposed a two-hour time shift so he'd have more after-work hours of sunlight to go bug hunting in the summer.
