First Contact Day - 2022-04-05
What is First Contact Day?
Aliens are coming to Earth! They are coming on April 5th, 2063. While this is not even half a generation away, humans are already making plans for this highly exciting event. We are not only excited about the possibility of extraterrestrial life, but also the science fiction genre that has explored the idea of alien contact. The exact date of the first contact between humans and Vulcans has not been officially announced yet. But we can already celebrate the event! Fans have been celebrating First Contact Day for 20 years since the movie, “Star Trek: First Contact,” was released. It is a very important day in the Star Trek Universe. The subject of alien life is one that science fiction has always loved to explore. The idea of first contact with extraterrestrials is one that conspiracy theorists have always enjoyed. One well-known conspiracy theory is that the United States made contact with aliens at Area 51 in the 1950s. Another is that the first documented sighting of an alien spacecraft took place in Massachusetts in 1639.
