Gingerbread House Day - 2021-12-12
What is Gingerbread House Day?
A gingerbread house is a confectionery made of baked cookie dough and cut into pieces resembling buildings. The usual material is crispy ginger biscuits, which are the base for the entire structure. A team of bakers in Arizona and California won the National Gingerbread House Competition with a 3,000 brick house. The team used 500 Christmas tree branches, 10 sugar people, two sugar animals, and 1,200 hours to create the house. A team of bakers called the Merry Mischief Bakers won this year's contest with their gingerbread storefront. The display was titled "St. Nick’s Christmas Décor Shop."
