It's a day of speeches and ceremonies that inspires us still today. Across the country, people crowd cities for parades and festivals. Cities deck the streets in red, white, and blue bunting and flags. During the summer, family and friends gather for delicious food and cultural fairs. Families and friends also get together for picnics and barbecues. At these events, many people come together in their hometowns because reunions take place.
