On April 17th, we celebrate the fascinating and beautiful flying mammals of the world. As well as being a great excuse to binge on Batman, it is also an opportunity to learn more about these important creatures. It’s International Bat Appreciation Day, and we’re celebrating with a look at the vital role they play in the ecosystem and biodiversity. There are over 1,400 different types of bats. Contrary to popular belief, they are not blind. So without further adieu, let’s go deeper into the cave and examine International Bat Appreciation Day and everything these flying mammals have to offer.
