International Medical Science Liaison Day - 2021-03-27
What is International Medical Science Liaison Day?
MSLs have been around for a long time. In 1967, Upjohn Pharmaceuticals established them as a way to help their business grow. Since then, the profession has grown exponentially as clients recognize the importance of having an MSL on their team. 68% of managers from around the world have planned to increase the size of their teams over the next two years, which shows that MSLs are a hot commodity right now. In this new era, medical science liaisons are more important than ever to the success of any company that employs them. Having a dedicated day is a unique way for them to be recognized as a valuable profession, and to raise awareness of their importance in the world. In 2020, the Medical Science Liaison Society will establish a day to honor the importance of this role. MSLs are communication experts who work with healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders to spread information, knowledge, and awareness of the benefits of pharmaceuticals or biotechnology. It is they who ultimately improve patients’ lives.
