National Almond Day - 2022-02-16

What is National Almond Day?
The almond is a type of tree native to the Middle East. The seed of this tree is widely cultivated and used in food products.
Almonds are nutrient powerhouses. Whether eaten whole, chopped, sliced, or ground into flour or butter, this nut is truly a superfood. It's also delicious. One-quarter cup of almonds, about 23 nuts, provides a significant amount of heart-healthy fat and plant protein. Almonds also contain 6 grams of fiber, 4 grams of filling fiber (13% of the daily minimum), half the daily target for vitamin E, and 20% for magnesium—all this along with B vitamins and smaller amounts of calcium, iron, and potassium.
When is National Almond Day?
National Almond Day is celebrated on February 16 annually.
