National Babysitter Day is a holiday which aims to celebrate and honor the hard work of babysitters all over the US. This holiday is the way for people to show appreciation and recognition towards those who work tirelessly to take care of and protect children in order to give their parents some time to themselves.

National Babysitter Day is observed on the Saturday preceding Mother’s Day.

History Of National Babysitter’s Day

National Babysitter Day was founded by Safetywhys.com in 2003 in order to bring to light how much appreciation and respect babysitters are owed. Although, there are no official records or presidential proclamations which make this a true “national” day, most would agree that it is an important day that deserves to be celebrated. After all, what would we do without our babysitters?
