Lox is a fillet of brined salmon, that may or may not be smoked. Lox is frequently served on a bagel with cream cheese, and often garnished with tomato, sliced onion, cucumbers, and capers. A bagel is a type of bread product made from thick dough. The word "bagel" comes from the Yiddish word beygel , meaning "ring" or "bracelet". Bagels have been around since the 17th century. They were first invented by Jewish people living in Poland. The traditional way of making bagels is to boil them first, then bake them in an oven. Together they are the perfect combination!
