A bagel has become a staple of breakfast and snack time all over the world. They can be found just about anywhere: breakfast joints, coffee shops, supermarkets, or even your kitchen pantry. In fact, 2018 saw more than 354 million bagels sold. A bagel is a bread product originating in the Jewish communities of Poland. A traditional bagel is shaped by hand into the form of a ring from yeasted wheat dough, roughly hand-sized, that is first boiled for a short time in water and then baked.

National Bagel Day is celebrated every year on January 14th!
