Have you ever been late for work? Are you looking for a reason for being late for something? This is your spirit day: National Late for Something Day. Celebrate it, honor it, and praise it for it happens once a year – or tomorrow if you’re really late to celebrate it on September 5th. This day was actually meant to be held on September 1st, but Procrastinators’ Club of America were too late with their submission and they had to take September 5th.
Don’t tell Mrs Thomspon – our Grade 2 teacher – but procrastination is healthy. Stress a little less today. Being a little late for work one day a year isn’t the end of the world. Studies suggest that those who don’t stress too much about work schedules, deadlines, and other time-sensitive matters might be happier and healthier than those who do fret about every single minute of every day. So for today, ditch your watch. And, forgive those who’re also late for your meetings. Smile today!
