National Beer Day - 2022-04-07
What is National Beer Day?
Today is National Beer Day, the third most popular drink after water and tea. It is also the most widely consumed alcoholic beverage in the world. Beer has been around for a long time. It may be the oldest prepared beverage in the world, dating back 9500 years to the beginnings of farming. Beer also left its fingerprints on two ancient civilizations. The Sumerians were among the first brewers, and beer was part of their religious ceremonies. The ancient Egyptians enjoyed beer, although they mostly drank it through straws because they believed it was unhealthy to swallow while working in the fields. Raise your glass and drink to the hardworking people of your local brewery. Whether you prefer dark or light beer, hoppy or smooth, brewmasters all over the world are working to provide you with a delicious product. Cheers!
When is National Beer Day?
National Beer Day is celebrated on April 7 annually!
History of National Beer Day
The Cullen-Harrison Act was passed on April 7th, 1933. This was done to legalize the production and sale of beer in America. It also ended Prohibition, which was a ban on alcohol. This means that National Beer Day is celebrated every year on April 7th.
