While being a biologic coordinator is a year-round job, the open enrollment period is one of their busiest times. Open enrollment is an annual period that usually occurs from November 1 to December 15 when people can enroll in a health insurance plan. Janssen hopes to honor and celebrate this important group of healthcare workers on November 1 as they begin the busy time of open enrollment.

On November 1 it's National Biologic Coordinators Day, biologic coordinators will be recognized for their daily commitment to ensuring the safety of patients through the administration and management of biologicals.

In 2021, Janssen launched a national event to raise public awareness of biologic coordinators. The goal was to not only inform patients and physicians about the role of these healthcare professionals but also to create a greater understanding among the industry and general public.
