What is National Brush Day?
The day after Halloween is considered the largest candy consumption day in the US. Bad oral health in children can affect their heart. Children with bad breath and stained teeth have a greater risk of developing heart disease later on in life. Bad oral hygiene leads to the accumulation of bacteria in the mouth, which gets passed onto the bloodstream and travels to arteries. It is important to encourage brushing after meals and especially after sugary snacks.

National Brush Day is held in the United States on November 1st.
History of National Brush Day
This day was created by the American Dental Association to raise awareness of proper brushing and flossing techniques. According to the ADA, brushing for two minutes at least twice a day is essential for good oral health.
