What’s your favorite treat? Do you have a favorite food memory? Celebrate National Caramel Popcorn Day with us on April 6th. This year, we’re celebrating this delicious treat as a favorite across the country. In January, we celebrated National Popcorn Day. Now, we add caramel popcorn to the calendar, one of America’s favorite snacks. For many people, this chewy or crunchy caramel popcorn treat is an all-time favorite. A tasty treat has a unique history. In the early 1800s, a German immigrant named Frederick Rueckheim hit on the idea of combining popcorn and molasses, with a little help from his brother, Louis. The result was a salty-sweet snack that soon became popular as Cracker Jack.

National Caramel Popcorn Day is observed on April 6 of every year.
