On this national holiday we pay recognition to all the nursing assistants who dedicate their lives to the well-being of others. Nursing assistants work in hospitals or care homes and help to look after the sick and the elderly. They allow for people to remain in their homes independently for as long as possible,

On the first day of National Nursing Assistants Week, we recognise National Career Nurse Assistants' Day.

National Career Assistants Day is sponsored by National Network of Career Nursing Assistants and have done so since 1977.
