National Champagne Day - 2021-12-31
What is National Champagne Day?
In France the first sparkling Champagne was created accidentally; the pressure in the bottle led it to be called "the devil's wine", as bottles exploded or corks popped. At the time, bubbles were considered a fault. Champagne has always been seen as a celebration drink. It’s not uncommon for people to pop bottles of bubbly on New Year's Eve, and it is often associated with gluttony in countries outside of France where this custom originated from Champagne can be an easy way to enjoy yourself without spending too much money at fancy bars or clubs- especially if you're having more than one glass! But what about when we don't want to celebrate? Champagne becomes our favorite alcoholic beverage during the holiday season - December 31st through January 7th inclusive (depending).
