History Of National Chocolate Chip Day

In 1937, Ruth added some chopped up chocolate to her cookie recipe, making it a huge hit and taking it up a few notches. In 1939, she signed an agreement with Nestle that allowed them to add her recipe to the packaging of their chocolate, which they later began manufacturing in chip form.
