National Craft Distillery Day celebrates the art of spirit distillation. On this day we recognize and appreciate the diversity of distilled spirits. This art goes back centuries and is an amazing craft. There are an infinite amount of recipes that could come from distillery. Today’s small craft distilleries bring an artisan-crafted spirit alternative to the products of large commercial distilleries. Craft distillers find ways to infuse uniqueness and individuality to their products by using locally sourced ingredients. Focusing on their craft and bringing a subtle character to their final spirit, distilleries set themselves apart from the competition.

National Craft Distillery Day is celebrated every year on May 22nd.

Distiller Nicholas Strauser, Connie Strauser, and Brandy Strauser-Sobanski of N Scott Distillery were the founders of National Craft Distillery Day on May 22, 2019. The Registrar at National Day Calendar proclaimed National Craft Distillery Day be observed annually on May 22 beginning in 2019.
