What is National DNA Day?
A unique day, National DNA Day, was created to honor the completion of the Human Genome Project and the discovery of DNA's double helix. This special day is a perfect opportunity for students, teachers, and the public to learn more about genetics and genomics. The NHGRI began celebrating DNA Day on April 25th. The goal of National DNA Day is to celebrate the latest advances in genomic research and provide opportunities for students, teachers, and the public to learn about those advances.
