The day honors a long list of professionals who keep schools running. ESPs have been there for our students when they need it. They are cleaning and repairing buildings that are in very bad shape, because of years without any maintenance. They also deal with multiple bus routes, making sure each student gets to class safely. As well as preparing food in the cafeterias with limited supplies. ESPs are also helping students who may be experiencing the social-emotional impacts of the pandemic. ESPs are extremely valuable to our schools. Let's promote this fact, and advocate for the respect that ESPs deserves.

Education Support Professionals (ESP) Day is celebrated on November 17th.

In 1987, the National Education Association Representative Assembly recognized and set aside a day to honor all education support professionals. They chose November 17th, and named it National Education Support Professionals Day.
