A special day has come, a day that is devoted to a special eight-track tape. On April 11, a rare holiday will occur. It is a day to celebrate the eight-track tape. There are no traditions, and everyone still has to go to work, but it is a day to commemorate this special format. In the 1960s, the plastic cartridges were popular. Today, they seem pretty crude. This technology predated fast-forward and rewind. When they broke, you were forced to buy a new one. Tony Mignone, the owner of Fifth Avenue Record Shop, said he remembers when eight-tracks were the main source of income for him. He began selling music in 1968. Today, eight-tracks are nearly impossible to find. The last few eight-track tapes are some of the most collectible items today.

This April 11, celebrate the music of the 60s and 70s that has been immortalized on 8-track tapes.
