National Farm Animals Day - 2022-04-10
What is National Farm Animals Day?
Farm animals, such as cows and pigs, have a difficult life. Their living conditions are horrible, and they're often injected with hormones. On April 10th, we celebrate Farm Animals Day to bring awareness to the horrible conditions farm animals endure on commercial farms. The day was created in 2005 by farm animal rights advocates. On August 15, American animal lovers celebrate National Farm Animals Day. It was founded 10 years ago by Colleen Paige, a well-known celebrity pet lifestyle expert, an author, and an animal rescuer. While it's not an official holiday, it is still widely celebrated in the U.S. The message it conveys is important to many Americans. October 2 is World Day for Farmed Animals. The day is celebrated to raise awareness about animal husbandry. We can start raising awareness about the day by pointing out that the products we eat are healthier if the animals that provide those products are treated well. This is a great opportunity to discuss the benefits of humane farming with friends, family, and coworkers.
