National Food Day - 2021-10-24
What is National Food Day?
October 24th is National Food Day. It's a day to promote healthy and nutritious food. To celebrate a healthy lifestyle, you should avoid sugar drinks, overly salted packaged foods, and fatty, factory-farmed meats. You should eat vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and sustainably raised protein. Some of the country’s most prominent food activists are involved in this celebration. At the same time, their vision is to produce food that is healthy, affordable, and environmentally conscious. The goal is to create a menu that is not only delicious but also produced sustainably. The movement wants to give everyone access to healthy food, at a price they can afford, while still protecting the environment. They do this by influencing policy. In 2012, they held 3,200 events across the United States and even in Washington, D.C. They also did a lot of work in schools.
