Food, as we all know is something that many of us enjoy and want to consume. The fritter was originally derived from the Latin word frigere which meant "to fry" or roast. Our words such as 'fry' in frittata also come from these roots. A fritter is a kind of food that's usually fried. There are sweet and savory varieties, but they can vary depending on what ingredients you put into them!  

National Fritters Day is on December 2nd of every year.
