Poetry is a beautiful art form, and today is the perfect opportunity to enjoy its masterpieces. Why not read some poetry today? On this day, April 28th, we celebrate the observance of National Great Poetry Reading Day. It's the perfect time to read some of the most notable poems ever written. Poetry has existed since the beginning of human history. It was created before writing and is still used today. Poetry that is meant to be performed or spoken aloud is called "epic poetry." Other types of poetry developed from epic poetry. Poetry is an art form that has been around for centuries. Some of the most well-known poets are  William Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Robert Frost, Mark Twain, Emily Dickinson, and T.S. Eliot.  Poetry can be defined as lines of text that follow a certain structure in order to create an emotion in the reader.
