June 23 - National Hydration Day

What Is National Hydration Day?

National Hydration Day reminds all of us to replace the fluids we’ve lost frolicking in the summer heat. Becoming dehydrated is incredibly dangerous, and everyone should take this opportunity to learn more about the dangers. Drink plenty of fluids and electrolytes if you plan to be out in the sun and teach your loved ones to take care of themselves too.

When Is National Hydration Day?

National Hydration Day is observed on June 23rd annually.

History Of National Hydration Day

This national day was created by SafeTGuard to honour a football coach, Victor Hawkins, who created a mouth guard that releases electrolytes to help keep his players hydrated on the field. The day commemorates Coach Hawkins’ contributions to the health and safety of athletes worldwide.
