Horses are an ancient animal, whose ancestors have helped and supported all kinds of human industries for centuries. Horses are strong, willing animals who are able to carry and drag weight a lot beyond the capabilities of a human being. Horses have been used as transportation, helped to fight wars and pull carts, to clear fields, and to herd cattle. There are over 200 breeds of horses from all over the world, meaning that no matter the need, there is a horse who can help. In addition to being such wonderful workers, horses are loyal, friendly, and loving pets and can be trained to compete or just to hang around. All in all, the appreciation for these lovely animals is well deserved!
