July 18 National Ice Cream Day

What Is National Ice Cream Day?

Ice cream is a delicious, creamy frozen treat believed to have been invented in Naples, Italy by Antonio Latini. Previous versions of this dessert were enjoyed by the Persians, the Tang Dynasty of China, and many other cultures around the world. Today, ice cream is pretty simple to make, even without an ice cream churner, and can come in any flavour imaginable. We use it to top desserts such as apple pie or as a sweet treat all on its own or in sundaes. We’ve never met anyone who didn’t love this delicious dessert, have you?

When Is National Ice Cream Day?

The third Sunday in July is National Ice Cream Day, the perfect time to have ice cream for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with absolutely no judgment!

History Of National Ice Cream Day

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed July as National Ice Cream Month and established National Ice Cream Day as the third Sunday in July.
