“Junk food” typically refers to foods high in fats, sugars, salt, and calories without providing any nutritional value at all. As such, junk food is incredibly fattening and unhealthy and is the reason for the current obesity pandemic happening worldwide. From the 1800s, junk food has steadily crept its way into the diet of the average American. It was only around the 1970s when we began to truly be aware of how horrible it is for our bodies. But, junk food is also incredibly tasty and addictive. You know what they say, everything is healthy in moderation! There’s nothing wrong with the occasional hamburger and fries, so why not treat yourself today?
