National Kahlua Day - 2021-02-27
What is National Kahlua Day?
What's the best way to celebrate National Kahlua Day on February 27th? With desserts, of course. Kahlúa is a rich coffee liqueur that can be used in drinks and desserts. It's also a delicious addition to cocktails and can be used in many other ways. In the 1930s, Pedro Domecq began producing Kahlúa in Mexico. By the 1990s, the company merged with Allied Lyons to become Allied Domecq. By 2005, that company was partially acquired by Pernod Ricard, which merged with another company called V & S Group in 2008. Brilliant! You're celebrating something with coffee and rum! How about making some ice cream or cheesecake? Or, you could use Kahlua to flavor a cake. It's also delicious in hot chocolate, creamy cocktails, and even just straight up as a shot.
