Step aside, parents. The kids are taking over the kitchen today. All we children ask for is help when we want to use sharp knives, hot cooking plates, and other dangerous things. We’re in charge of all food that comes out of the kitchen: are you ready for dessert for breakfast and breakfast for supper? Or a fancy dish? We’ve got it under control. Parents, your youngsters are learning independence, life skills, and also motor skills for using kitchen utensils and appliances. They might make a mess, but at least they’re not playing on their smartphones, tablets or consoles.
