National Love Your Pet Day is a day to recognize one special trait that makes us human: our love of animals. Many animals are domesticated, but humans have been keeping other animals as pets for over 10,000 years. One of the more unusual behaviors is our longstanding tendency to keep other animals as pets. We all know that dogs are man's best friend. So if you have one, why not watch Netflix together? Or if you want to be more active, take your dog out to play. For cats, go for a belly rub or play with toys.
