A mascot is a little figure that is thought to bring luck and joy to sports teams and franchises. Mascots come in a variety of costumes and characters and help to entertain, educate, and stir up some energy in the crowds. Celebrate the day by shouting out your favourite mascots on social media.

National Mascot Day is celebrated on June 17th of every year.
