National Nothing Day - 2022-01-16
What is National Nothing Day?
While it may not be a good day to celebrate anything at all, we suppose putting nothing in a glass and setting it on a table might suffice for celebration. You might leave your diary page blank every January 16th. The holiday of Nothing Day was first proposed by the late American newspaper columnist Harold Coffin. The holiday was created with the intent of eventually ridding itself, through satirically reigning in what he considered an overabundance of recently established, superfluous commemorative days. In order to raise awareness, Coffin’s Nothing Organization was formed. This organization has not held a meeting yet, and the continued official celebrations stand as a testament to his ultimate failure.
