National Oreo Cookie Day - 2022-03-06
What is National Oreo Cookie Day?
The Oreo cookie is a sandwich cookie made up of two chocolate cookies and a sweet cream filling. It is loved by millions and has been the best-selling cookie in the US since its introduction. In 1912, Nabisco (the company behind Oreos) made the first Oreo biscuits. They were so popular that Oreo Way was named after them. The Oreo brand has been around for over a century. In the early 20th century, the snack cost 25 cents per pound, and was put into clear glass topped novelty cans. It was initially named the Oreo Biscuit, but in 1912 it became known as the Oreo Sandwich. In 1948, it became the Oreo Creme Sandwich.
