National Panda Day - 2021-03-16

What is National Panda Day?
National Panda Day, on March 16, aims to raise awareness of one of the world’s most unique bears. Pandas are also one of the world’s most endangered and beloved animals. Conservationists and animal lovers alike are spreading the word about increased efforts of the international community dedicated to protecting and restoring habitat.
We celebrate the black and white bears who are a source of national pride for China, also known as panda. There are two types of panda: the giant and the Qinling panda, who is much smaller and brown. These bears live in remote areas in the mountain ranges of southern Shaanxi Province in China.
Giant pandas are bears, and they are endangered. There are only 1,864 in the wild and around 100 in zoos.
