In the heart of peach harvest season, we celebrate this delicious pie flavour by baking up a whole bunch of peach pies and distributing them to anyone who'll have them! There are two types of peaches: if the flesh comes away from the stone easily, it is a freestone peach. If it does not, it is a clingstone peach. The taste and size of the peaches don't vary much beyond this minor difference. Peaches are best enjoyed fresh off the tree, when they're ripe, juicy, and sweet! But when you're swimming in peaches and have done just about all you can imagine doing with them, turn some of them into a delicious peach pie and serve with a huuuge scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!

National Peach Pie Day is observed annually on August 24th.
