National Pennsylvania Day - 2021-07-20
What is National Pennsylvania Day?
Pennsylvania was once the home of the temporary capital of the United States, and has played many vital roles in the delegation of the country since its formation. One of the most notable events to have taken place in Pennsylvania was the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. As the most central of the original 13 colonies, it made most sense to have made Pennsylvania the signing location and temporary capital at the time. On National Pennsylvania Day, treat yourself to a Philly Cheese Steak, and learn all there is to know about the rich history of the state, its food, and its people.
When is National Pennsylvania Day?
July 20th of every year honours the Keystone State of Pennsylvania, the second state to join the United States of America.
History of National Pennsylvania Day
In 2017, National Day Calendar began celebrating each state in the order they entered the union starting the week of Independence Day and ending with Hawaii.
