Spring is right around the corner, and on March 12th, we celebrate National Plant a Flower Day. This day is dedicated to planting flowers and welcoming spring. Many people have made flower gardening a hobby of theirs, including young and old. By starting in March, we can kick off the new season. Marigolds and daffodils are the flowers of March. You should know your hardiness zone to determine which flowers grow back every year and which do not. This is important because some flowers are perennials while others are annuals. If the weather is warm enough, put plants in the garden. If not, start seeds indoors and keep them in a sunny window. Moist soil helps germination. Follow instructions on seed packets for proper germination. You can also order seeds from catalogs!
