National Play Monopoly Day - 2021-11-19
What is National Play Monopoly Day?
Whether you love or hate Monopoly, there's no denying its popularity. Since 1935 when it was introduced to the market for sale in America , over 250 million copies of this game have been sold and people worldwide play more than 1 billion times every year! That makes one out five persons on earth who knows how to settle disputes by using Chance Cards (and we don't know about you but that sounds like my kinda party). One such example is inducted into our National Toy Hall Of Fame.
The game has been sold in 114 countries and translated into 47 languages.

When is National Play Monopoly Day?
National Play Monopoly Day is on November 19th, which means it’s time to get your game face on!
History of National Play Monopoly Day
It all starts with a simple enough premise - players assume the roles of Charles Darrow and Elizabeth Magie. They meet in 1903 during an inventors competition at Philadelphia's annual meeting of various clubs where they were both seeking awards for their own creative achievements: one had come up with what would eventually become known as "Monopoly," while another designed something called “The Landlord Game."
