Potatoes truly are the best of all vegetables. They can be made in so many different ways, and are a blank canvas for a variety of dishes and flavours. Bake them, fry them, mash them, and season as desired, they’re bound to be a crowd pleaser. More than 4,000 varieties of potato grow worldwide, each more delicious than the last, and come in a range of beautiful colours and sizes. Potatoes are loaded with Vitamin C and potassium and are excellent to eat if trying to manage a problem with cholesterol. Unfortunately, they are filled to the brim with carbohydrates, so not suitable for a low-carb diet, but always worth indulging on a cheat day.
