What is National Prom Day?
On March 31st, we celebrate friendship and memories. And we honor the history and tradition behind National Prom DayOn March 31st, we celebrate friendship and memories. And we honor the history and tradition behind National Prom Day. Teenagers are special. They’re the age of fashion, friendship, and fun. But they also need guidance to stay safe. That’s why we’ve created this special day to celebrate the transition into young adulthood. We encourage confidence, empowerment, individuality, and inner beauty through our community. In 2016, the celebration proudly supported Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), an organization that shares our common values and is a long-standing champion in educating young people. SADD’s mission is to stop drunken driving and other destructive behaviors. However, it has also expanded into other areas such as substance abuse, suicide, depression, bullying, violence, body image and more. Don't forget about the annual prom tradition! Post your old photos, and let's share our past memories. This day encourages all generations to share their prom photos. Let's take a trip down memory lane and embrace this special occasion that means so much to everyone. If you don't have any prom photos, let's share photos of other important moments in our lives.
