August 13 - National Prosecco Day

What Is National Prosecco Day?

As the days get cooler, we celebrate Prosecco, a wine made from a few different types of grapes. It is usually made from Glera grapes, but can also be made of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, or Pinot Noir grapes. Prosecco is made in the Veneto region of Italy and infused with an elegant mousse that gives it its characteristic sparkle. On National Prosecco Day, we celebrate the end of summer with a glass of this delicious wine and a light, summery meal.

When Is National Prosecco Day?

National Prosecco Day is celebrated on August 13th of every year.

History Of National Prosecco Day

National Prosecco Day was founded by Riondo Prosecco in 2016. Riondo Prosecco earned #1 Prosecco in Italy in 2010 by Il Mio Vino magazine and Gold Medal Minner Vinitaly in 2011.
