National Quesadilla Day (Dia de la Quesadilla) - 2021-09-25
What is National Quesadilla Day (Dia de la Quesadilla)?
Quesadillas are a must for National Quesadilla Day. Traditionally, they’re made with a tortilla filled with cheese and folded in half. While it’s not a sandwich or a taco, it can be just as filling as lunch or dinner. Quesadillas are typically made with a corn tortilla and filled with cheese. First, we heat it until the cheese melts. Then we fry it until crisp. Some people also add other fillings such as cooked sausage, chicken, pork, or beef. And don’t forget the toppings.  Quesadillas are delicious. The best ones are loaded with fresh ingredients, like tomatoes, salsa, herbs, sour cream, guacamole, or chilies. Don't forget to finish it with a squeeze of lime. Serve it with an ice-cold beer or a margarita, and the meal is complete.
