On National Secondhand Wardrobe Day, we are all encouraged to take a trip to some thrift stores or consignment shops, either to drop off some of your own unwanted clothing or to do your usual clothes shopping for yourself or your kids. Shopping secondhand is a great way to save money, especially on kids who grow so fast they barely have a chance to wear in new shoes. And with growing concerns surrounding the condition of our environment, shopping secondhand is an amazing way to keep unwanted clothing out of the landfill and to stop the chain of production in fast fashion that is destroying our Earth. The stigma of wearing secondhand clothing is slowly disappearing, as it should, and now is a great time to get in on this great environmentally friendly, budget friendly, shopping technique.
