The 3rd of May is National Textile Day. It's the perfect time to show our thanks for textiles and all they do for us. In this new world, we can be creative in every room, in every outfit, every day. Textiles are a daily necessity and a fashionable luxury. There are two main types of textiles: natural and synthetic. Natural fabrics are made from plant-based materials, and synthetic fabrics come from petroleum. The combination of these fibers creates a fabric that's used to make the many things we use on a daily basis. Our clothes, bedding, rugs, and curtains are all made with textiles. National Textiles Day is observed on May 3rd.
