August 3 - National Watermelon Day

What Is National Watermelon Day?

Early watermelons are thought to have been bitter and bland, which means that ancient civilisations specifically bred the watermelon to become the sweet and tender fruit that we know today. Watermelons can grow extremely large, and choosing the perfect one is something of a unique skill that not many possess.
